How we make money

Many of the outbound links to retailers and brands on our site are affiliate links. When you click an affiliate link and complete a qualifying purchase on the merchant's website, HonestPicks may receive a commission from that merchant — at no additional cost to you. The price you pay is the same whether or not you use our link.

We also display sponsored placements and brand partnerships from time to time. Sponsored content is always clearly labeled as such (e.g. "Sponsored", "In partnership with", or a similar notice).

Why our rankings are still independent

Compensation from a merchant does not determine:

• Whether a product is included in a ranking.
• What position a product receives.
• The score, pros, or cons we publish.
• Whether we keep recommending a product over time.

Compensation can influence which merchants we feature as the buying option for a product (we generally pick the merchant offering the best combination of price, stock, shipping, and warranty for our audience), and the order in which "where to buy" buttons are listed when several merchants stock the same product.

FTC and consumer-protection compliance

This disclosure is provided in accordance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising" (16 CFR Part 255), the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and CAP Code, the EU Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, and similar consumer-protection rules in other jurisdictions where our readers are located.

Where required, individual articles also display an inline disclosure near the top so the affiliate relationship is clear before you read our recommendation.

How we choose products

Products are selected through editorial research and hands-on testing. We start by identifying what readers are actually trying to solve, then build a shortlist based on independent specifications, verified buyer feedback, and brand reputation. Final rankings reflect performance against transparent criteria — not commercial relationships.

Pricing and availability

Prices, discounts, shipping times, and stock are controlled entirely by the merchants and can change at any time. We make reasonable efforts to keep our pages current, but always confirm pricing and availability on the merchant's site before purchasing.

Returns, refunds, and warranty

HonestPicks is not the seller of any product featured on the site. Returns, refunds, warranty claims, and customer support are handled directly by the merchant and the manufacturer in accordance with their own policies and applicable consumer-protection law.
